Fans continue to rally around the Los Angeles Sparks. Today a keep the Sparks in the Southland petition hit the mark of 1,000 names just before 3 p.m. A symbolic show of support for a team that began the year in search of new owners. There is some chatter on the Internet about the majority owner of the Golden State Warriors nearing a deal to buy and move the Sparks to the Bay Area in the next “.. two to three weeks.”
The local fans are hoping someone with deep pockets will step in buy the Sparks and keep them right where they are. Yeah, it might be a dream, but sometimes dreams come true. By the way, co-organizer, Callan McClurg , says they want more signatures. Here’s one of his recent tweets.
