Superstar director/producer/actor, Clint Eastwood, has selected another project about a real-life hero. Eastwood has signed on to tell the story of pilot, Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, who managed to land a crippled jet airliner, packed with passengers and crew, on New York’s Hudson River in 2009. Last year, Eastwood received accolades for “American Sniper” ( 2014) , which is about one of the most lethal snipers in U.S. history, U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle. More details on the Hollywood Reporter
Big time director, Steven Spielberg and wife/actress, Kate Capshaw are selling one of their fabulous properties. The couple is said to be getting “somewhere around $35 million” for a Malibu estate purchased for a total of $6.57 million. The mansion and guest house are on nearly an acre in Broad Beach with celebrity neighbors like Pierce Brosnan and Dustin Hoffman. More on Variety
Super successful TV showrunner, Shonda Rhimes, has a new book coming out. Rhimes, the creator of such popular dramas as “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal,” and “How to Get Away With Murder” hooked up with Simon & Schuster back in December of 2013 to write “Year of Yes.” In the book, Rhimes accepts the challenge to say “yes” to unexpected invitations for one year. Rhimes is quoted as saying it ” turned out to be one of the most amazing decisions I have ever made.” The book is due out this November. Details at The Wrap
