Following the tragic death of Mick Jagger’s partner, L’Wren Scott, the The Rolling Stones have postponed 7 shows in Australia and New Zealand, according to Rolling Stone magazine. In a statement the Stones said they plan to “… reschedule these postponed shows at a later date.”
Fashion designer and celebrity stylist, L’Wren Scott, was found dead in her New York City highrise apartment yesterday. Scott had apparently killed herself. An assistant discovered her with a scarf around her neck and hanging from a doorknob.
There are reports Scott’s fashion company was millions of dollars in debt and that she had just split from her long-time companion, Mick Jagger. The couple had been together for more than a decade.
On his Facebook page, Jagger did not comment on the break-up allegations nor speculations about Scott’s business troubles, he spoke only of his sorrow and grief:
We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves.
She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me.
I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received.
