Big announcement in Pasadena today. The Tournament of Roses selected Vanessa Natalie Manjarrez as the 2013 Rose Queen. Manjarrez beat out more than 900 hopefuls. The 17-year-old Pasadena resident was named to the Royal Rose Court on October 8.
Manjarrez and six princesses will reign over the 2013 Tournament of Roses festivities including the 124th Rose Parade and 99th Rose Bowl game. Manjarrez will be crowned during an official coronation ceremony in the Pasadena Convention Center a week from this Thursday, October 25.
