Summer-like temperatures returned with a vengeance today. At 2 p.m. it was 102 in the Media City. Some weather watchers are saying it could get even hotter — before the day is done. Temperatures are sizzling throughout the Southland. The National Weather Service says the heat and the drought conditions could mean trouble: “The combination of hot and dry weather… and gusty northeast winds will create heightened fire danger in the mountains and valleys of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties today.”
Lows tonight in Burbank only in the 70s. More hot weather in the forecast for the weekend.
