Several employers looking for workers will be on site today at a veterans job fair in Burbank. The Burbank Workforce Connection office, a co-sponsor of the event, “hopes to connect as many veterans as possible with viable employment opportunities,” according to a news release posted on the city website. The job fair is aimed at military veterans, but is open to the general public.
Some of the companies expected to attend include Bank of America, Federal Bureau of Investigation, UCLA, Burbank and Glendale Police Departments, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Social Security Administration, and Allied Barton Security Services. The job fair will be at the McCambridge Recreation Center 1515 North Glenoaks Boulevard from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Job seekers are advised to “dress to impress, bring multiple copies of their resume plus a state-issued photo ID and Social Security card.” For more information call (818) 238-5627.
