The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting baby number two. Their firstborn, Prince George, celebrated his first birthday a few weeks ago on July 23. Now Prince William and Kate are getting ready for the arrival of a sibling for George. The announcement was made today after the Duchess developed severe morning sickness. “As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess of Cambridge is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace,” according to a news release. The People website is saying the Duchess is believed to be less than three months along in the pregnancy.
Prince William and Kate got married in a royal wedding on April 29, 2011.
Ray Rice, star running back for the Baltimore Ravens, is out of a job. Rice was let go today after new video surfaced of that domestic violence incident last February. Previous video shows Rice dragging his then fiancée, Janay Palmer,out of a hotel/casino elevator. Well in the new video taken inside the elevator. Rice is seen punching and knocking out Palmer. The Ravens terminated Ricer’s $40 million contract and the NFL has suspended him indefinitely.
It caused an uproar when the league suspended Rice for only two games after the first video appeared. More here.
Governor Jerry Brown has a lot going for him in his bid for another term. A good piece on Bloomberg talks about Brown’s philosophy, achievements and the Golden State’s booming economy. Brown has a huge lead over his little known Republican opponent, Neel Kashkari, in the polls. The gubernatorial election is coming up on November 4.
