Actor Ralph Waite, best known for playing the father on TV series “The Waltons,” has died. Waite appeared in a number of other TV series and daytime soaps including most recently “Days of Our Lives.” Also, he has roles in movies like “Cool Hand Luke” (1967), “The Bodyguard” (1992), and “Cliffhanger” (1993).
