The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office has file one count of murder against a Burbank man in connection with the death of his mother. Moises Diaz was arrested last Monday, following the discovery of the body of 77 year-old Maria Diaz in an alley in the 4000 block of West Victory Boulevard.
Diaz, 40, is being held on $1, 000,000 bail.
Yesterday, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office revealed the victim died of “… asphyxia by neck compressions,” according to a Burbank Police news release.
The suspect and the victim reportedly lived together in a Burbank apartment. A motive for the killing has not been released. Meanwhile, Burbank Police are asking witnesses to come forward.
