Media City Groove launched in July 2010 as a simple blog focused on Burbank, a small, unconventional town in the San Fernando Valley of Southern California. The city shares space with entertainment industry giants, numerous production facilities, and thousands of media-related companies. This gives Burbank a unique vibe or groove and has earned it the reputation as the Media Capital of the World.
Over the years, the scope of Media City Groove has expanded beyond Burbank to include the Southland, the state, the nation, and a wide range of subjects. Also, there are no paywalls. No subscription fees. Independent basic journalism is at its core. Straightforward factual reporting, because the facts always matter.
