President Barack Obama focused on what Americans need to know about Ebola in his weekly address today. Above all, President Obama emphasized the only way to catch the deadly disease is by coming in contact with the bodily fluids of a person showing symptoms. It cannot be transmitted through the air like the flu.
The Ebola epidemic is in West Africa. There are only a few cases here in the U.S. Measures are underway to fight the disease here and abroad. Obama says Ebola is a health challenge: “This is a serious disease, but we can’t give in to hysteria and fear — because that only makes it harder to get people the accurate information they need.”
