Burbank is baking in that relentless heat wave scorching the Southland. Yesterday, the Media City broke a record with a high of 104 — the previous record for August 15 was 101 set in 1977. The temperature in B-town is expected to soar into the triple digits once again today.
The excessive heat warning from the weather service is expected to expire tonight at 8 pm. however, the heat wave reportedly will not break until Tuesday. So take precautions and try to stay out of the heat as much as possible. Remember, the Buena Vista Library is the city’s designated cooling center and it will be open from 1 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. this evening.
