The suspect involved in that stand-off with police in Burbank last Tuesday is being held on a $140,000 bail in the Los Angeles County jail. Brandon Degourville of Los Angeles was pulled over after authorities say a Burbank Police officer ran a check on the 2013 Honda he was driving and it came back as a stolen vehicle.
The 28 year-old suspect refused to leave the Honda Fit, which stopped next to the Cartoon Network building on Third Street between Palm Avenue and Magnolia Boulevard. After a couple of hours, law enforcement forced Degourville out of the vehicle by firing chemical irritants into the car. A short time later, Degourville was arrested and taken to a local hospital to be checked out.
Last Thursday, Degourville was arraigned on charges of “vehicle theft and resisting arrest,” in Burbank Superior Court, according to Burbank Police Sergeant Adam Cornils. Degourville reportedly due back in court today.
