A lot of chatter on the Internet about the huge Toluca Lake estate of Bob and Dolores Hope going up for sale. The legendary entertainer and his singer/philanthropist wife reportedly built their home at the corner of Moorpark Street and Ledge Avenue in 1939. The estate has an English-style mansion, guest house, private golf course and gardens. It sits on more than an acre. Several potential buyers have made offers on the property, according to The Tolucan Times. No word on whether or not the property is going to be divided. Or what the asking price might be, but you gotta suspect that this kind of prime real estate will have a price tag in the millions.
The Hopes lived at 10346 Moorpark Street until they died: Bob at 100 in 2003 and Dolores, a few years later, at 102 in 2011. A big garage sale at the estate was scheduled for last weekend, but due to the rainy weather, it reportedly was re-scheduled for this coming weekend, December 8 and 9.
