Bargain hunters were out bright and early in Burbank’s trendy Magnolia Park today. Around two hundred eager shoppers were lined up at Unique Vintage at 2013 West Magnolia Boulevard for its semi-annual “Pin up picnic sale,” where some items were up to 90 percent off! Doors did not open until 10 a.m. The first to arrive at 6 a.m : Gigi Alvarez of Pacoima, Samantha Alonzo Burbank, Nicole Lucero Whittier, Janessa Espinoza Buena Park and Ibeth Sanchez La Puente. They heard about the sale online through Facebook and email.

Unique Vintage is colorful boutique of retro inspired fashions with a modern twist, according to its website. By the early afternoon the line was gone but the shopping was still good, according to Alex Rabato who works in customer service for retailer. In an interview over the phone, Rabato told me the store would be open until 7 p.m. for anyone who wanted to check out the sale.
