The new superhero films are making a ton of money and the prime summer movie season is just starting. In its debut, “The Man of Steel,” grabbed the number one spot and millions at the box office over the weekend. “The Man of Steel” had the best June opening and the second best debut this year behind “Iron Man 3.”
Released more than six weeks ago in the U.S., “Iron Man 3” is continuing to draw big at movie theaters. Yesterday, it reached the $400 million mark in North America — bringing its worldwide total to $1.204 Billion. “Iron Man 3” has moved up to number five on the list of the top grossing films ever.
