Burbank Primary Nominating Election ballots were delivered to the post office today and postal carriers will be dropping them in mailboxes, all across the city, over the next few days. Burbank Deputy City, Clerk Susan Domen, says there are around 60, 000 ballots — one for each registered voter in B-town. The ballot packet includes a postage prepaid return envelope. So no postage stamp is needed. The deadline to return the ballots is February 26.
Hopefully, the free postage will prompt more voters to mark their ballots and mail them back. In Burbank’s 2011 Primary Nominating Election only 8, 073 ballots were returned.
