There is little doubt that Los Angeles Dodger Shohei Ohtani is one of the best if not the best player to showcase his talents in the Major Leagues. Last Night, the 30-year old designated hitter made history in specular fashion during the Dodgers’ 20 to 4 win over the Marlins in Miami. Otani drove in 10 of his team’s runs. But he didn’t stop there.
Ohtani hit three home runs and stole two bases, among his feats last night. He is now the first player in Major League history to hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in one season. However, Ohtani is already headed to another milestone. He slammed home run number 51 and stole his 51st base in Thursday’s game. Also, the blow out of the Marlins clinched a playoff spot for the Dodgers.
