A historic event at Dodger Stadium last night. Dodger ace, Clayton Kershaw, pitched a no-hitter striking out 15 batters in the 8-0 win over the Colorado Rockies. It’s the 22nd no-hitter in Dodger history. The second this season. Last month, Josh Beckett, threw a no-hitter in the Dodgers’ 6-0 win over the Phillies.
After the milestone, Kershaw celebrated with his teammates. Last January, the 25 year-old lefty signed 7-year contract worth $215 million. It is reportedly the richest deal for a pitcher ever in Major League Baseball.
Kershaw showed off the game ball at Dodger Stadium last night. A crowd of 46,069 watched the two-time Cy Young Award winner throw the first no-hitter of his career. Kershaw posted a thank you on Twitter.
