A suspect has been identified in connection with the discovery of two explosive devices in Burbank late yesterday. Burbank Police detectives reportedly found the first device while carrying out a search warrant at a residence in the 1900 block of North Rose Street at around 4:50 p.m. on Friday.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s bomb squad was called in and safely detonated the explosive, according to a BPD news release. The second similar device was discovered during a follow-up search and it was also destroyed by the bomb squad.
“The Burbank Police Department does not believe there are any outstanding explosive devices and there is no immediate danger to the public,” according to the release.
The suspect in the case has not been arrested nor charged. Police are not releasing the suspect’s name reportedly because their investigation is ongoing.
