Here’s a chance to help out a good cause and have breakfast as well. The 50th annual
Burbank Community YMCA pancake breakfast is today from 7:30-11:30 a.m. at 321 East Magnolia Boulevard. On the menu pancakes, sausage, fruit, juice, and coffee. The price, $5 per person. Children under 5 eat for free.
The fundraiser was launched by the support group, the Burbank YMCA Service Club. The aim is to raise funds for the Y “particularly the youth and government program,” according to a news release. The Burbank Y opened its doors in 1924 and is celebrating its 90th year anniversary in 2014.
The membership spans from the very young to retired seniors. The non-profit reportedly strives to provide its members with “the opportunity to become stronger in spirit, mind, and body.”
Besides donating the proceeds from the breakfast to the Y, the service club will present the organization with a brand new 2013 Ford Van. A double bonus for the Burbank Y.
