Burbank Police Chief Scott LaChasse reportedly recovering today after suffering a health episode at an event in Glendale yesterday. LaChasse collapsed around noon while attending the Glendale Police Awards luncheon at the Hilton Hotel. Emergency personnel in the room rushed to his aid. A short time later, LaChasse regained consciousness, but was taken away to a nearby hospital.
LaChasse has probably undergone a series of medical tests, however, the Burbank Police Department is saying very little about his condition. Today BPD Press Information Officer, Sergeant Derek Green, told me in an email: “The Chief of Police is doing well and recovering. At this time, we are not releasing any other information.”
Deputy Chief, Michael Albanese, is with LaChasse. Patrol Captain, Denis Cremins, is running the day-to-day operations of the department.
