Southland/Weather—

The sweltering heat wave is gone, but the Southland faces more weather worries this weekend. Tropical Storm Rachel is coming, along with rain and possible flooding along the SoCal coast. Wind, cloudy skies, and temperatures reaching the low 80s in Burbank today. A slight chance of raindrops this afternoon, with rain most likely tonight in the Media City.
Tropical Storm Rachel has many communities, particularly those on or near the coast, preparing for possible flooding and more.
Lots of buzz out there about what Tropical Storm Rachel will bring to the Los Angeles area… see below for the impacts we expect for San Luis Obispo County south through Los Angeles County! 🌦️🌊 #LArain #Rachel https://t.co/W991FgnUoI

Just your typical tropical storm cruising into Southern California early Sunday, followed by Death Valley and the deserts north of Las Vegas, then Salt Lake City 🙃
Incredible and alarming stuff. https://t.co/OSymQInRAW
