The Mega Millions jackpot is in the big money zone. The jackpot jumped to $582 million after no one matched all of the numbers in last Friday’s draw. The August 23 big prize was $535 million. Those winning numbers are 28, 30, 44, 66, and 69, and the Mega is 2.
Now, the jackpot stands at a staggering $582 million and could go even higher before the winning numbers drop tonight.
Meanwhile, no player has successfully matched all of the lucky numbers since last June, when someone in Illinois did it and collected the big prize of $552 million dollars. That kind of money usually sparks wishful dreams and lottery fever among hopeful players.
The Mega Millions is played in 45 states, including California, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of winning the big prize are one in 302,575,350.
