Flags at Burbank City Hall remain at half-staff as part of the mourning for former President Jimmy Carter. The former commander-in-chief died last month on December 29 at the age of 100. The following day, the Media City announced that as a tribute to the former president from Plains, Georgia, flags would be lowered to half-staff for 30 days.
Last Thursday, January 9, was an official national day of mourning for the centenarian and the legacy he left behind. At the state funeral on Thursday, in the Washington National Cathedral, President Joe Biden, a long-time friend, eulogized the 39th U.S. president.
