It’s blazing hot in Burbank this morning. At 11:30 a.m. temperature in the mid 90s. As predicted it’s going to be a scorcher in the Media City. There’s a pretty good chance we will hit the triple digits before the day is done. Record breaking heat expected throughout the Southland Thursday.

Red flag warnings have been extended through 8 p.m. today. Gusty erratic winds and low humidity are contributing to the high fire danger.

Be careful out there. By the way, we could get some relief by the weekend. Weather watchers say temps could drop down into the 70s by Sunday. Hurrah! I’m ready for this spring heat wave to be history.
