A Bel Air estate once owned by old Hollywood star, Betty Grable, is up for sale. The actress known for her “million dollar legs” moved into the estate on Stone Canyon Road shortly after it was constructed in 1937. Between 1943-1951 Grable reportedly was the highest paid Hollywood celebrity. Also, she became even more famous for being the top poster “pin-up girl” in World War 11 for hot a photo of her in a bathing suit.
Grable moved out of the estate in the late 1940s. Since then, it has had other celebrity owners such as Jaclyn Smith from the TV “Charlie’s Angels”(1976-1981) and musician/singer/songwriter, Stephen Stills, of Crosby, Stills & Nash, according to the Zillow blog.
The 6-bedroom and 7-bath house on the estate has a mixture of architectural elements. It is described by the listing real estate agent as “very picturesque” and is “a classic, Hollywood estate.” The asking price, $13.2 million. Check out photos here.
