Talk of the Town: Burbank City Council needs to reconsider Talaria vote

The city of Burbank is still buzzing about the city council majority’s approval two weeks ago of the controversial Talaria mixed-use project. Tonight the council will revisit the project with the second reading of an ordinance approving Talaria.  This is an opportunity for the council to reconsider its decision on the major aspects of this far-reaching development. Talk of the Town: A stare-down at Burbank City Hall ends

The stare-down between the Burbank City Attorneys Association and the Burbank City Council is over. The association blinked. Lt. Dilibert narrowly won out over former Park, Recreation, Community Services board member/chair and political strategist, […]

Burbank Mayor Gary Bric, his restaurant, & those trash talking e-mails

Photo: from city of Burbank website. I don’t know if Burbank Mayor Gary Bric plays any street basketball, but it’s pretty clear he can trash talk. Earlier in the week, I popped over to Jim Carlile’s Burbank blog and discovered a post from last Tuesday, June 30 about some caustic e-mails he got from the mayor. The town is abuzz with chatter about these e-mail zingers. Mayor […]
