Double tragedy in the Southland/Two violent crashes—
Investigators are working on two tragedies in the Southland today. Both occurred late yesterday in Chatsworth. The first involved an SUV slamming into a Metro bus. Two people died in that collision, and today there are reports that the female driver of the SUV was arrested. News crews rushed to the scene. While covering the collision, a news helicopter for the local TV station NBC4 crashed nearby, killing the two people on board and one person on the ground.
Shortly after the crash, NBC4 colleagues announced the identities of the chopper crew.
