If you’re goals in the new year includes finding a new gig, you might want to check out the Employees’ Choice Awards. For the past six years, the online jobs website, Glassdoor, has been surveying employees on the best places to work in the country. The 2014 list for large companies is out and three social media heavy hitters, Twitter, Linkedin, and Facebook are in the top five.
Locally, popular Burbank retailer, Costco, grabbed 16 and Bob Hope Airport carrier Southwest Airlines 21. The only two studios to make the top 50 list are Disney at 42 and NBCUniversal at 44.
Despite all those slick TV ads raving about the great opportunities and the wonderful work environment at Walmart, the world’s largest retailer did not make the list. Perhaps those Anti-Walmart protestors on Black Friday last month, know a thing or two about the REAL Walmart.
