California/Elections—
Voters in California and across the nation have only hours to submit their ballots today in the hotly contested and critical midterm elections. The balance of power in the U.S. Congress could shift from Republicans to Democrats, depending on the outcome of some of these elections. In the Golden State, some important races, including Governor and controversial propositions like 40, known as the Billionaire Tax Act, are on the ballot as well.
