The curtain will go up in a few hours on the 88th Academy Awards ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Host Chris Rock is expected to, ah, rock the house — and he will have plenty of material with the controversy about the lack of diversity in Hollywood hanging over the glam event.

Plenty of Oscar events today, but the major ones will be on ABC. That network will broadcast the official pre-show at 4 p.m., Pacific Time, followed by the ceremony at 5:30 p.m.
