Polls

President Donald Trump’s first year of his final term has been a downer for the voters. A recent Emerson College poll on the president’s approval rating shows it has flipped since he took office in January. Trump entered the Oval Office for a second term with an approval rating of 49% and a disapproval rating of 41%, but by the end of the year, those numbers had reversed.
An Emerson College Poll taken this month found the president’s approval among voters had slipped to 41% and his disapproval rate has climbed to 50%. The national survey was conducted December 14-15. When it comes to the issues voters are most concerned about, Trump got the highest rating for immigration 37% and the lowest for healthcare, 14%.
Other December polls also indicate the president is in serious trouble with the voters. A CBS News poll shows Trump’s approval rating dropping from 53% in February to now 41%. A Reuters poll conducted December 12-15 shows Trump’s approval among voters dipping even lower to 39%
