Woodstock Poster

40 years ago this weekend, around 400,000 music lovers gathered on a rural farm in New York state for the now famous Woodstock Festival and Art Fair. Sure there were great performances by Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker, Sly Stone, and many other rock artists during those three days in August of 1969. Still, there have been many other outstanding music festivals since then, but none has the magic of Woodstock.

Here’s a nicely done story about Woodstock on the Reuters website.
