Southland/Weather—

We’re deep into the summer season, and it’s going to feel like it today. Above-average temperatures are expected for Burbank and the rest of the Southland. Mid-morning temps are headed into the 80s, which means super-hot afternoons. The high is expected to reach the upper 90s in Media City, with many places in the valleys and deserts hitting triple digits. As usual, the cooler weather will be along the coast.
Also, B-town is included in a heat advisory for most of the valleys and mountains until 8 pm tomorrow. The advisory warns of high temperatures that could cause illness and discomfort. So take the usual precautions: avoid long periods out in the sun, drink plenty of water, and stay inside or in the shady areas whenever possible.
