The budget-friendly airlines with the bright yellow planes is no longer flying the friendly skies. Spirit Airlines was grounded by financial struggles that finally became too much to overcome. Last night, the rumors became fact, as the airlines began canceling flights and shutting down. Frustatrating ticketholders at Hollywood Burbank, LAX, and other airports.

The collapse of Spirit Airlines also left thousands of employees without jobs. Still, some took to social media to give a shout out to their former employer.
