The Staples Center in L.A. got turned out by some entertainers who came to blow the roof off the place at the 53rd Grammy Awards ceremony. First time Grammy performer, Rolling Stones lead singer, Mick Jagger, was one of the veteran who took to the stage, along with the young stars like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Eminem.

Rihanna and Eminem’s duet, “Love the Way You Lie” is on his disc “Recovery,” which won for best rap album. The country group, Lady Antebellum, won record and song of the year for the tearjerker, “Need You Now.” It’s an emotional song– but not a great one. However, country music –particularly — pop/country — has become the new rock-n-roll.

Los Angeles times has more on the shocking winners of the top awards, the performances, the red carpet fashions, and how the TV censors were kept busy during the broadcast. And a ton of photos, too!
