As the long Labor Day weekend approaches, prices at the gas pump are taking a dive. Yeah, gas prices are down across the country including right here in Burbank. Some of the cheapest gas in the Media City is at Kwik Serv Gasoline at Victory Boulevard and Hollywood Way. At this station regular is selling for $3.25 per gallon. The average price for regular in California is $3.32 per gallon and here locally, it averages $3.55 per gallon, according to Triple A’s Daily Fuel Gauge Report. That’s still quite a bit higher than the national average.
Triple A puts the national average for regular today is $2.44 per gallon. The Auto Club puts says motorists who hit the roads and highways over the long holiday weekend will be paying some of the lowest prices since 2004. The price of gasoline reportedly has fallen 20 cent per gallon in the past two weeks. More here.
