A sigh of relief from Dodger nation. The word is superstar slugger Shohei Ohtani, is expected to be in the starting lineup for the Dodgers in game 3 of the World Series tonight in New York. Last Saturday, Ohtani suffered a shoulder injury while trying to steal second base in game 2 of the series. The Dodgers won that game 4-to-2 over the New York Yankees. However, Ohtani left the game at the end of the seventh inning with a cloud of uncertainty hanging over him.

Ohtani reportedly suffered a shoulder subluxation or a partial dislocation. Coach Dave Roberts says that how Ohtani feels will be the determining factor in whether he plays or sits this game out.
Meanwhile, the Dodgers are halfway to the World Series title. One of the reasons is Freddie Freeman, who hit a walk-off grand slam in the 10th inning of the first game on Friday. The Dodgers beat the Bronx Bombers 6-3. On Saturday, Freeman repeated with another home run in game 2.
