DGA/Tentative Deal—

Another important Hollywood agreement is being put to a membership vote. Yesterday, the National Board of the Directors Guild of America voted unanimously to send a tentative deal to the rank-and-file for a vote. The DGA reached an agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers on June 9. Like the new pacts of the Writers Guild and SAG-AFTRA, this contract runs for four years rather than three, like past agreements.
“We entered this negotiation with three main priorities: secure our Health Plan, protect jobs, and ensure that our members remain secure as AI continues to impact our industry. We succeeded in these areas and gained in many others,” said DGA President Christopher Nolan, in a news release.
The union ratification vote will conclude on June 25, 2026, at 5 pm. The DGA represents more than 19, 500 directors and team members.
