Lakers lose some magic

Former Laker Superstar, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, is no longer part owner of the NBA champion Lakers.  Sad, but true. Yesterday, the team announced Johnson had sold his ownership share to Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, a 25-year season-ticket holder, local businessman, and philanthropist.   Johnson reportedly bought his share for $10 million in 1994. Mega Millions jackpot jumps the $50 million mark

Let’s talk about some real money. The Mega Millions jackpot rolled over on Tuesday evening, after no one matched all of the winning numbers: 10, 19, 24, 37, 44, and the Mega Ball 27.  So the jackpot got pumped up with more mullah. For today’s 8 p.m. draw, the jackpot will be worth at least  $51 million.
