Reminder: Burbank Water and Power town hall meetings

Do you think utility users, who do not have solar systems, should subsidize those who do? What about the rates charged by Burbank Water and Power? Some feel they are too high, especially for a “community-owned” utility. Just some of the topics that will most likely come up at tomorrow’s Burbank Water and Power town hall meeting from 10:30 a.m- noon […]

Pizza Studio opening soon in Burbank

The Quizno’s sandwich fast food outlet near the intersection of West Magnolia Boulevard and North Hollywood Way in Burbank is getting new life as a Pizza Studio. Update on the redo of that Taco Bell in Burbank

A thriving Taco Bell once stood at 2425 West Magnolia Boulevard in Burbank. What stands there now amounts to three bare bones wall frames — and little else. It’s an eye catcher. An attention grabber. I walked by the site yesterday and was shocked at how the Taco Bell had been reduced to an unrecognizable shell. Last week, I was […]

Earthquakes shake up the Southland and movie screenings of “Noah”

A lot of rocking and rolling in SoCal Friday evening as dozens of earthquakes rumble through the region.  A 3.6 magnitude quake near La Habra at 8:03 p.m.last night kicked off a swarm of shakers centered in Orange County. That was apparently a foreshock to a moderate 5.1 quake, which rolled and swayed through our area at around 9:09 p.m.. It […]
