Earthquake shakes up the Southland today

Did you feel it? The Southland got hit with an earthquake this morning at 10:13 a.m. Apparently it was center  four miles south-southwest of Glendale and  two miles east-southeast of Hollywood, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.  They say it measured 3.0. Ground breaking for new Burbank hotel

Burbank is one step closer to getting a new hotel. Yesterday, a ceremonial ground breaking was held for the $40 million SpringHill Suites by Marriott on San Fernando Boulevard between Providencia and Santa Anita Streets adjacent to Downtown Burbank.
