Glendale brush fire 60% contained, firefighters getting upper hand

Firefighters are getting the upper hand today on that brush fire burning in the hills of Glendale. The fire broke out  last Sunday and has scorched around 150 acres above Brand Park. Glendale brush fire 30% contained, but still a threat

A brush fire is burning for a second day in the hills above Brand Park in Glendale. The fire broke out around 12:30 p.m. yesterday and quickly grew to 150 acres. Talk of the Town: Burbank City Council, utility rate hikes, and labor costs

The Burbank City Council will again be crunching budget numbers tonight during a special city council meeting. At the June 10 meeting, the council majority shocked the over-confident staff by not approving utility rate increases for electric, water, refuse, and sewer.
