Catching up: New mascot for Burbank library feted

Entertainer Dolly Parton is selling her home away from home. The actress/singer/songwriter has listed her West Hollywood property for $1.395 million. That’s only a small bump up from the $1.2 million Parton paid for the home in 2007, according to the Zillow blog. NASA prepares to launch saucer-shaped aircraft

It looks like some alien flying saucer, but it did not come from outer space. NASA’s saucer-shaped test vehicle is the creation of experts at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in nearby La Cañada Flintridge.  Here’s a chance to help out a good cause and have breakfast as well. The 50th annual Burbank Community YMCA pancake breakfast is today from 7:30-11:30 a.m. at 321 East Magnolia Boulevard.
