Disney buys Maker Studios for $500 million

Disney announced today it’s shelling out $500 million for the YouTube Network, Maker Studios. If certain performance targets are met the deal gets sweeten by $450 million. Stones postpone concerts, Jagger pays tribute to deceased lover

Following the tragic death of Mick Jagger’s partner, L’Wren Scott, the The Rolling Stones have postponed 7 shows in Australia and New Zealand, according to Rolling Stone magazine. New trailer for Disney’s “Maleficent”

Disney released the third trailer for its upcoming animation, “Maleficent,”today . The movie centers on the dark side of the classic fairytale, “Sleeping Beauty.” Angelina Jolie plays the baddy named “Maleficent” and this her story of how her pure heart got turned to stone and she became the most feared creature around. “Maleficent” opens in theaters May 30, 2014.

Viacom and Google settle legal battle over YouTube

Viacom and Google have agreed to bury the hatchet, ending a seven-year landmark legal battle over YouTube. The companies announced today they had agreed to settle Viacom’s $1 billion dollar copyright infringement against Google out of court.
