This photo is making the rounds on cellphones and the Internet. These folks really got an eye full when Endeavour, setting on top of that Boeing 747, flew by. An incredible photo. A priceless memory.

I don’t know a delicate way to put this so I’ll just bottom line it and ask, “… what the blank is going on at Burbank City Hall?” Lately, a lot of the decisions and actions by city officials have been very confusing or down right weird. Let’s start with City Manager Mike Flad. On his way out the […]

Outgoing Burbank City Manager Mike Flad has put the brakes on the search for a permanent police chief. A news release about the decision was sent out late this afternoon from Public Information Officer Drew Sugars. A lot of changes at City Hall lately and many of them strange and confusing, however, this move makes plenty of sense. Here’s the […]

The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards are history. Sunday’s telecast of the ceremony was ho-hum — in fact, some of the jokes and failed gags were down right painful to watch, so the writers responsible should hope they are forgotten real quick. Terrific photos of the historic flyovers of the the Southland by Endeavour, while perched atop a huge 747, still coming into Media City Groove. Yesterday, the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft gave Endeavour a piggyback ride from Houston to Edwards Air Force Base in the high desert. Shortly after eight this morning, the modified Boeing 747 airliner took to the skies again with the proud orbiter mounted on its […]

After several weather delays, Endeavour is finally headed to the Southland. A shuttle carrier aircraft, a modified 747, took off from Kennedy Space Center in Florida with Endeavour secured to its top. The SCA landed at Ellington Field in Houston this morning and will remain there overnight. Endeavour will be on display there until 9 p.m. this evening. Tomorrow at […]

More surprises from Burbank City Hall today. City Manager, Mike Flad, is one step out the door. This is no rumor — it ‘s the official word. Late this afternoon a news release came out announcing Flad has “tentatively accepted the position” as city manager of South Gate. You gotta wonder about Flad’s move coming at a time when he’s […]
